Client: Universal Music Strategic Marketing
Following the launch of the John Lennon microsite, Cuppa Digital was asked to design and build a similar site to help promote the Queen Studio Collection; a limited edition box set containing every Queen album on coloured, heavyweight vinyl.
The look and feel of the site was based on the box set itself, with a primary landing page and a dedicated page for each of the albums in the collection. These were launched one per week over a period of 15 weeks and even included an animated Queen turntable, allowing the user to ‘play’ each LP. Audio and tracklist information was provided by the Spotify API, which reduced workload and hosting requirements. You can try the turntable here.
Cuppa Digital also built a dedicated page for a special edition Rega turntable branded with the Queen crest and logo, and provided a full set of static and animated banners for the campaign.
